Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to return to the classroom, this time at Harvard University, taking an amazing in-person course through the Division of Continuing Education entitled “Advanced Business Strategy: Gaining a Competitive Edge.” After completing two virtual Harvard courses during the pandemic, I jumped at the opportunity to experience learning on campus, where I spent the week exploring & evaluating business strategies alongside an impressive group of professionals from across the U.S. and around the world. Between all-day classes, evening study sessions, collaborative presentations, exploring Harvard’s campus, enjoying the Harvard Art Museums and the Alain Locke Gallery of African and African American Art, and discovering some wonderful restaurants and coffee shops, this experience was nothing short of enriching.

Perhaps my greatest takeaway was a quote from Harvard Professor Dr. Jon Star: “Listening to other people’s reasoning reinforces the process of learning.” I couldn’t agree more! My first classroom experience on Harvard’s campus will always be memorable because of the elevated learning that comes from sitting in community with others
